Tis the Season to be Jolly...and Buy Gifts :)

The Toy Guy, Christopher Bryne, has created a list of the top educational toys and games for the season. I love buying educational toys and games as presents. I feel kids get too many toys that provide no learning opportunities.

Here are some toys and games that are mentioned...
vTech V.Reader Animated E-Book System
LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game System
Hyper Dash Extreme
Woody's Run Around Round Up Game
'Tis the Season for Technology (this could be used in the classroom)

  1. I too agree that kids receive too many toys that truly have no value. Therefore, I am always buying my neices and nephew educational games like the Leapfrog reading series, the games where it teaches you to draw shapes, learn letters, numbers, etc. You know what...they really love these items! My 3 year old niece last Christmas received lots of toys, dolls, etc., but then I bought her the educational games and as soon as she finished opening presents she didn't want to play with any toys, just sti and read her new books with the Leap Frog learning system and draw her letters on the Leap Frog game. It is amazing what truly interests the kids and those types of educational technology relaly hook them.
