Principal Accused of Trespassing

This article made me laugh but made me irritated at the same time. According to ABC News, the principal of Chester Academy, in Chester, NY went to one of his student's houses after he found out they stayed home sick. The father of the child is claiming the principal barged in and caught the boy in his underwear and then felt the kid's forehead to see if he truly was running a temperature. This article seems almost so bizarre to me, I wonder if the dad of the child is making it up or at least exaggerating the story. I have seen firsthand how parents try to manipulate schools and how they feel their child can do no wrong. I am getting more and more frustrated at what the state is requiring of us and how little the parents do to help. Sorry I needed to vent a little :)

  1. I don't think this is probably true but it is sad like you said what parents are willing to do to get the schools in trouble. Also, they don't back up the teachers they always take their childs side even if they are wrong. For example, we do incentive days each trimester were we go to the movies and bowling or something like that to reward the students who are passing all of their classes and have all major projects turned in. We had a girl today who did not have a major project turned in when she had plenty of time to complete it, turned it in late, so the teacher said she still could not go becausee the rule was it needed to be turned in on time. Therefore, the child went home and lied to their parent about what happened. Then the parent called the principal screaming and yelling and talking about pulling thier child out of our school because of this issue since their child had all of their work done. Nothing was mentioned about their child not taking the responsibliy to get their work in on time and how it wasn't all the teachers fault, but that was who the blame was put on. Unreal...what are these parents thinking???
